Easter has come and gone - and blessings abound! On Thursday we gathered for a somber Tenebrae gathering of lights, readings and darkness. On Friday more than 80 joined us for a contemporary expression of Good Friday using new music, wild visual images and ancient scripture. What a joy! And then Easter Sunday - the Feast of the Resurrection - was a smorgasbord of traditional music and new songs, exuberant preaching and Eucharist. Perfect in this new place with new friends struggling for new life. I give thanks to God for the chance to be pastor of this church at this time as we find new/old ways of being faithful, fun and connected to God's spirit in this place. There were children and old folk, new people to the tradition and old stalwarts all embracing one another together. Thanks be to God: he is risen!
