An incident-free time in the park today: hallelujah! Peu en peu Lucie makes peace with the city. She was distressed and sad, however, when I went out on my own to a jazz jam session to hear some students from McGill University's music program (at the Upstairs Bar and Grill.) Di took this photo - and it is heartbreaking.
Today we are off to the Contemporary Art Museum - Musée d'art contemporain - downtown. It is always a gas to see what artists are cooking up in this town. As we figure out a new rhythm of living - one without any real schedule - we are all learning how to enter each new day as a gift. It is going to take some practice!
My heart drifts back to this quote from Mary Oliver about her love of dogs:
“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”
