It is now 4:24 pm and it is night time. In a month all will be different - there will be light and hope - but not until the winter solstice. This morning as I looked up at the winter sky, I took this shot as it expresses what many of us are feeling right now.

And all day long - as I have been writing, checking in with the church office or going to meetings, this tune has been quietly singing in the background.  It is a hymn for sure - and nobody "gospels" it up better than Joe Cocker with Leon Russell's brilliant help. Onward into the darkness even as we wait for the light.
