Yesterday afternoon and evening we took a little break from Louis-ville (caring for our sweet grandson Louie) and slipped into Manhattan to see the Phoenix installation at St. John the Divine. We had the privilege to visit it earlier this year at MassMOCA, but to see it in the glory of this stunning cathedral is a total gas.
Dianne and I were the only people besides the priest sharing Evening Prayer so we were asked to do some of the readings. And what should we discover, but that May 1st is the day in the calendar set aside for honoring both St. Philip and St. James. So, cheers to you my dear brother Philip on this our feast day!
