What are their names...

Check it out - some of my boys down at Occupy Wall Street - I love it!  Don't get me wrong, David Crosby has NEVER met a conspiracy theory he didn't cherish - it caused conflict back in the Byrds and makes him sometimes over the top.  And at the same time, he is always on the right side, too.  If you'd like to see Crosby and Nash at OWS, check it out:

Remember the great Langston Hughes poem that starts:

Let America be America again.
Let it be the dream it used to be.
Let it be the pioneer on the plain
Seeking a home where he himself is free.

(America never was America to me.)

Let America be the dream the dreamers dreamed--
Let it be that great strong land of love
Where never kings connive nor tyrants scheme
That any man be crushed by one above.

(It never was America to me.)

Here's another of Crosby's GREAT tunes that rings as true today as it did when he first recorded it 40 years ago.

WHEN LOVE COMES TO TOWN

U2 mixed the blues and the gospel - rock and roll and B. B. King - to create the best blend of faith and testimony in contemporary music. This blog is a summary of my weekly meditations at church - my stories of faith, hope and love. I hope to mix culture, art and biblical stories with the best of the progressive Christian tradition to express my take on God's love coming to town in the 21st century.
