Fourth Annual Thanksgiving Eve Benefit for Emergency Heat in the Berkshires
Indie Artists Gather to Sing Out for the Poor

Pittsfield, MA – November 1, 2011. Local independent musicians and artists in Berkshire County announced the Fourth Annual Festival of American Music and Poetry at First Church on Park Square (27 East Street, Pittsfield, MA). This benefit for the PittsfieldArea Council of Congregations Emergency Fuel Fund takes place on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 7:30 pm. Performers include: Between the Banks, Andy Kelly, Carlton Maaia II, Rebecca Leigh, Graham Sturz, Linda Worster, Bert Marshall and Hal Lefferts.

“This is a chance for great musicians to share American music with Pittsfield and raise funds for our neighbors in need,” said the Reverend Dr. James Lumsden, pastor of First Church and concert organizer. “It is what the heart of Thanksgiving is all about.” This is the fourth year local musicians, poets and artists have joined together to use their gifts to fight the cold Berkshire winter.

All the funds raised are distributed through the Pittsfield Area Council of Congregations Emergency Fuel Assistance Fund – an inter-faith community of compassion in Berkshire County with a 100 year history in Pittsfield.
