Tonight we practiced for next Tuesday's FAT TUESDAY BLUES AND JAZZ PARTY (a benefit for the oldest social service agency in the Berkshires: the Christian Center.) I have been blessed to become friends and colleagues with some of the HOTTEST local musicians - young and old - and almost 25 of us will gather for this feast of a show.
+ My little buddies Ethan and Emory (aka Edge) will be laying it down on JT's "Steam Roller Blues"
+ Local jazz wizard Vikki True is going to join us - and that will be smokin!
+ And Rebecca Leigh sings like a soul-filled angel: you HAVE to hear this girl get down!
We've got a show that begins with ZZ Top and Miles Davis and then takes a left turn to New Orleans with a bunch of Monk, Delta Blues, Clapton, Nora Jones, honky tonk and funk and more thown in for fun. If you are in town, you HAVE to come on up to the house. Additionally, we have some special guests including:
+ Linda Worster
+ Grahm Sturz
+ The Beeline Ramblers
+ Danielle Lennard and Kevin Gallagher
Plus our own Andy Kelly, Dianne De Mott, Dave McDermott, Brian Staubach, Eva Perri, Jon Grenoble, Carlton Maaia II and Dick Noble. It was a little bit of heaven doing practice tonight.
